Dissolve a teaspoon of Baking Soda in a glass of water, mix, and then drink it slowly.

It is advised to drink anything slowly when you are experiencing heartburn.

2. Mustard

Mustard goes with hotdogs and sandwiches. It can also be a fantastic remedy for heartburn because of all the minerals and vinegar—a subtle acid—it contains. One of its components is alkaline that helps neutralize acid.

Take 1 teaspoon of mustard straight if you are already experiencing heartburn.

Chewing gum apparently encourages the production of your saliva and swallowing. This is said to assist in diluting and clearing the stomach acid from your esophagus. Here’s how you can try this:

Chew gum after meals for at least half an hour to help reduce heartburn.
