What Causes Persistent Cough

A persistent cough is not only irritating, but can become very painful. Although coughing is your body’s way of clearing out infections, it can still lay you low, making you feel miserable.

Persistent Cough With Phlegm/Mucus

This is usually due to a postnasal drip, wheezing and potential difficulty breathing as the mucus congests the airways. You can also develop a sore throat, headache and muscle pain, and in some cases, run a fever.

2. Ginger
